Can you help Whaingaroa’s environment?

current projects include:

-Stormwater - preparation of plans and ideas for reducing sediment and other pollutants entering the harbour.
- Environment arts project.
- AroAro - prepare and help implement restoration scheme for saltmarsh.
- Karioi - collect seed, grow plants, prepare restoration plan, etc.
- Creating exhibits for Centre.
- Bike maintenance workshop.
- Survey of SH23 for environmental improvements.
- Publicity for Maui's dolphins.
- Providing information on tyre pressure to cut fuel use and crashes using our portable tyre pump.
- Raglan Power Coop - an idea at an early stage to encourage renewable energy and energy saving.

One of our aims is to open the Centre more, if you could spare time to staff the Centre, especially at weekends, we’d love to hear. In addition, there's a long list of projects in the Catchment Management Plan (copies below window) which are not yet scheduled, but it would be good to progress.
