We throw away a whopping 22 million plastic bags each week in NZ.
In a bid to reduce our dependence on plastic bags, and reduce the associated environmental impacts (plastic bags take 20 years to break down in a landfill, not to mention the oil that made the bag), WEC has created some funky cloth bags made from our own clothes, curtains, bedspreads and unwanted material. That's really reusing and recycling and keeping it local!
